Claxton are looking to hire a QA Technician on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the QA Technician will be responsible for providing advice on inspection and testing requirements for Claxton products, used in the energy industry, reviewing resulting certification and compiling certification packages in accordance with Claxton and client requirements.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
- Advise on inspection and test requirements for equipment used in the energy industry, primarily oil and gas drilling and decommissioning.
- Review supplier certification to check that it meets applicable industry standards and codes and save them to equipment files.
- Attend assigned project opening, progress and closing meetings to offer advice on inspection and testing requirements and to provide updates on progress of QA activities.
- Liaise with other departments as necessary to notify them of issues and provide timely updates of potential delays to QA activities, collaborating to agree the best course of action.
- Collate inspection and test certification for assigned projects and generate certification packages.
- Call off and host client representatives and third-party inspectors, to witness inspection and test activities and perform documentation reviews in line with agreed timescales.
- Complete role specific training provided by the company, in a reasonable time when required.
Required
- Level 3 Qualification in Engineering.
- Experience of reviewing and compiling certification packages for products used in the energy industry.
- Computer literate on Microsoft Office packages.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Patient and able to work under pressure, to short timescales.
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Able to display initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
