Qualified Assessor
Location: Home-based with national travel as required
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking a Qualified Assessor to join our internal Learning & Development team. This role supports the delivery of nationally accredited qualifications across our organisation, helping staff members upskill for current and future roles.
Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality training that is valued by our Education and Care teams. We work closely with national awarding bodies and prioritise quality over quantity, maintaining the highest standards in supporting learners and meeting Internal Quality Assurance processes.
Programmes delivered include:
- Teaching Assistants L3
- Residential Care & Adult Care Worker L3
- Specialist Educational Needs L3
- High-Level Teaching Assistant L4
- ILM Leadership & Management L4
We offer training and development opportunities for the right candidate, including support to achieve assessing and IQA qualifications. Applicants must have experience and base qualifications in Education and/or Care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support teams to fulfil their potential through high-quality learning activities.
- Develop and deliver programmes, workshops, and resources via Teams, face-to-face, and online.
- Assess candidates' performance and knowledge to meet internal and external standards.
- Provide learning support, feedback, and encouragement to learners.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to Learning & Development projects.
Key Duties:
- Deliver and verify programmes aligned with awarding body standards.
- Assess and record candidates' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Lead and participate in standardisation meetings.
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records in line with legislation and policies.
Essential Qualities and Qualifications:
- Experience and base qualification in Education and/or Care.
- Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA or equivalent) or willingness to achieve.
- IQA qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve.
- Teaching qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to achieve.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new IT systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
