We are looking for a qualified Nursery Assistant to become part of our team. The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for working with young children, strong communication skills, and a nurturing attitude. As a Nursery Assistant, you will contribute significantly to the daily operations of the nursery and support the holistic growth of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and nap times.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open and effective communication at all times.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Comply with safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
