Halton Borough Council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team in the Halton area. Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Managing a diverse caseload, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
- Collaborating with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children.
- Undertaking home visits, building rapport with families, and ensuring effective interventions.
- Producing high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes.
- Responding promptly to referrals, assessing risk and need, and ensuring timely and effective interventions.

Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience within a Duty and Assessment team or a similar frontline social work role.
- Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and social work legislation
- Ability to manage a complex caseload while maintaining high standards of practice.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
