Overview:
- The role is for an experienced Social Worker to work within an adult locality team and will entail working with individuals, families, carers, and communities to enable them to make informed decisions, to promote independence, whilst working in a strengths-based approach.
- You'll need relevant experience of working with adults and be expected to produce high quality assessments, collaborating with various agencies, and interpreting case law and legislation. Experience of undertaking assessments under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and investigations for Safeguarding Adults are essential. You will need to be able to work in a faced paced environment arranging packages of care and residential care. Experience of managing complex case work including best interests and self neglect/hoarding is desirable.
- You will need to be able to undertake visits within a vast geographical area with the Central and Penistone area of Barnsley and be proficient with IT skills.
- Hybrid working is available with a requirement to spend 3 days office based.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
