Social Worker - Looked After Children Team, Camden

Salary: Up to �50,706 per annum + Zone 1 & 2 travel allowance (�1,628) + Social Work England fee reimbursement

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of looked-after children, ensuring their needs are met and they achieve positive outcomes.

  • Undertake statutory visits and complete assessments of children's well-being.

  • Develop and review care plans, ensuring children's voices are central to the planning process.

  • Work collaboratively with carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to support children.

  • Prepare high-quality reports for Looked After Children reviews and court proceedings.

  • Conduct life story work and ensure children have a clear understanding of their journey.

  • Advocate for children to ensure their needs are prioritised in care planning.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree, diploma, or equivalent in Social Work.

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualifying experience working with looked-after children.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Children Act 1989, care planning regulations, and other relevant legislation.

  • Strong ability to build trusting relationships with children and young people.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Registered with Social Work England.
