Qualified Social Worker | Adults Learning Disabilities Team |London Borough of Bromley

• Qualified Social Worker required to join a statutory Learning Disabilities Team
• Office base: Bromley - Civic Centre
• To be considered, you must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as over 3 years post qualified experience gained in an Adults Services setting
• �32ph

The Learning Disability team provides care management and safeguarding support under the Care Act 2014 to people over the age of 18 who are in need of community care services. These include services for people with LD and or Autism and people who provide unpaid care to friends or family.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work according to the relevant legislation for people in need of support, plus people over the age of 18 who have a Learning Disability. In addition to the ability to assess and review people in receipt of care and support, the candidate will need to have excellent report writing and computer skills. Record keeping is a vital and necessary part of the job. Being able to communicate effectively is central to the role.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality standards. They must have experience of working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good negotiating skills. The successful candidate will be working with Partner Agencies and will be required to maintain good working relationships. They will be required to work mainly on completing statutory annual reviews in a timely manner. They may come across and will have to undertake S.42 work, MCA's and best Interest assessments
