Quality Assurance Technician

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer with a role based in Oxfordshire. Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint a�Quality Assurance Technician.

• Working 4 on / 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts)

The role:

Reporting to the Quality �Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician will support the business to conduct quality inspections of finished products, highlight any product quality or food safety issues, ensuring documentation is filed correctly. �

The successful candidate is tasked with the responsibility of flagging products with issues, ensuring actions are recorded accordingly and participate in hygiene verification. �

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Conduct product inspections, trial samples, and end-of-life products �


• Participate in mock recall and traceability exercises as required �


• Coordinate customer complaints and contact appropriate parties


• Generate quality reports and share with required parties


• Highlight any quality or food safety issues to management


• Log actions from internal and external audits and file as required

Candidate requirements:

The business is looking for an individual who has at least 2 years experience in a similar role within food manufacturing. You must be a strong communicator, forward thinking and a problem solver.�

• Experience working in a similar role within food manufacturing


• HACCP Level 3 or Food Safety Level 3 (beneficial but not required)


• Food or Science degree (beneficial but not required)
