My Client Is a leading gas contractor who specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems for commercial clients. their�commitment to safety and quality is paramount, and we are seeking a meticulous Commercial Quality Control Inspector to ensure all our operations adhere to the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations, maintenance, and repair work to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.

  • Monitor and inspect gas pipelines, equipment, and connections throughout all stages of a project.

  • Perform audits of work sites, assessing both the quality of work and adherence to health and safety protocols.

  • Identify and document non-conformities or defects in materials, equipment, or workmanship, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

  • Ensure all inspections are accurately documented and reported, maintaining detailed records for compliance and auditing purposes.

  • Stay up-to-date with gas safety regulations, standards (such as Gas Safe Register), and best practices to ensure continuous compliance.

  • Assist in the development of quality control procedures and training programs for staff.

  • Perform risk assessments and propose preventive measures to mitigate potential quality and safety issues.



Key Skills & Requirements:




  • Proven experience in a quality control role within the gas industry, with a focus on commercial projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations, standards (e.g., Gas Safe), and industry best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications related to gas installations.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with teams and report findings effectively.

  • Proficient in using quality control tools and software for documentation and reporting.

  • Gas Safe certification or equivalent qualifications are essential.

  • A proactive, safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
