We truly value our people and our culture, which makes Recurrent Energy an exciting and rewarding place to work.Position summary:You will be part of a widespread and large team of electricians, providing preventative and corrective site maintenance across the O&M portfolio and supporting the team with new build integration duties.The role requires a solid understanding of DC, AC, communications, circuit protection, and a strong aptitude for fault finding. Additionally, you should have good knowledge of Solar O&M, as well as HV and LV systems, ensuring all electrical work carried out must be in accordance with industry standards and good Health and Safety practices.Responsibilities:You will oversee the HS and quality on new sitesYou will work to a planned maintenance scheduleYou will respond in a timely manner to breakdownsDiagnose faults and Inspect work in progress and upon completionRepair equipment when necessary and Inspect work for satisfactory performance.Participate and provide on the job training to colleaguesReview suitable stocks of supplies and equipment and request specialist components, fixtures or fittings as requiredAdvise manager on required stock levels and costEnsure compliance with company health and safety policyRecommend improvements and modificationsBuild and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the publicDocument work undertaken / daily activities and provide a daily activity reportRecognise issues and assess risks and review any findings with managementParticipate in internal and external meetings as requestedIdentify and meet personal job-related training and development as required.H&S responsibilities as per company H&S Policy:The Management at Recurrent Energy expects everyone that is employed throughout the business to conduct themselves in a professional and safe manner. To this end it is expected that all employees and subcontractors irrespective of position or employment status within the Company have the same personal responsibility this extends to (but not limited to):Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who could be affected by their acts or omissionsReporting any accidents or near misses that they experience, or witness, to their Line Manager.Co-operating in all aspects of health and safety procedures introduced by Management for their well-beingAdhering to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and operational policies and procedures Ensuring that work equipment is only used for its intended purpose and that they have been trained to use itEnsuring that adequate First Aid provisions are always in place within their work vehicles in accordance with the requirements set out in the company First Aid requirementsWearing personal protective equipment when conditions require or where identified by risk assessment method statement or mandatory signageFollowing safe working procedures when handling, storing, using or transporting any COSHH controlled itemsReporting any medical problems experienced when undertaking any work functions to the Line manager and Health and Safety Team, adhering to Occupational Health Surveillance requirementsAssisting with any investigations or accident reports where necessaryMaintaining a good standard of housekeeping throughout their areas of workEnsuring that work equipment is only used for its intended purpose and that they have been trained to use itIdentifying and sharing ideas for H&S improvement throughout the businessKey skills:Must have a minimum of 3 years solar O&M experienceMust have site supervisory experienceMust hold 18th edition.Must hold a Level 3 electrical qualification.HV Authorised Person preferred but not essential. (Training will be provided)Experience of working with central & String inverter manufacturers would be preferable but not essential.Worked on large scale solar projects, preferable but not essential.Have a comprehensive knowledge of the BS 7671 Wiring Regulation StandardsMust have a comprehensive knowledge of DC Electrical systemsYou must be able to understand site drawings and SLDs.Must be able to work under pressure and deal with emergency situationsMust be hardworking, reliable, and flexibleMust be able to work well as part of a team & also be able to work well alone.Benefits:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays1 additional day of annual leave per year of service (up to a max of 5 days)Life policy – 4 x annual salaryPrivate HealthcareEnhanced pension scheme – 5% employer contributionEnhanced Maternity and Paternity packageCompanywide bonus schemeLaptopBike to work schemeLocation:Must be based in Devon.This is site-based position, with the expectation to travel to our client’s sites nationally as required.
