A Quality Engineer with experience of working in an Electronics Manufacturing environment is needed to join a Quality Department in a busy manufacturing company near Gloucester
The Role
* This role encompasses the following responsibilities:
* Implementation and management of inspection and certification control plans
* Supporting the Project Management team with contract reviews
* Lead APQP requirements such as PPAP and FAIRs
* Support in process production part approval using visual and dimensional inspection
* Support final inspection of completed components or assemblies including signoff.
* Manufacturing support to the production areas with reference to quality issues
* Ensuring procedures are implemented or updated where appropriate.
* Measurement systems evaluation
* Actively support the business with its QMS to ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
* Actively support businesses QMS conducting internal auditing of its processes
* Accomplishment of shop floor product sample and process audits to recognised schedule.
* Maintenance and management reporting of performance
* Managing all related non-conformance issues

The type of person we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our growing team. You will ideally have experience of working within an Electronics manufacturing environment, with an in-depth knowledge of technical documentation including engineering drawings. You will support relevant departments, maintain the QMS, carry out production audits, quality check produced products and assist with continuous improvement projects. You will have a passion for and be eager to learn new skills and seek development opportunities in the course of your employment.

Previous experience in or qualification to IPC-A-610/ IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards would be ideal

The role is subject to obtaining UK Security Clearance which is conditional on a number of factors so you will need to hold, have held or be able to obtain clearance when taking on this role.
