Quality Engineer

Role: Quality & Compliance Engineer - ElectronicsLocation: Bedford, UKSalary: £45-50kWe are searching for a Quality & Compliance Engineer for a lovely, small electronics company at the forefront of design & production of environmental monitoring devices.In role, you will manage the company quality assurance systems, ensuring that quality of products and services is consistent with customer requirements and established standards.In addition the role requires a continuous improvement approach with compliance to all internal business processes across all functions, preserving our strong global brand reputation.Responsibilities include:Manage, lead and maintain quality certifications such as ISO9001 / ISO14001 /ISO 80079-34 and various hazardous area product approvals.Ensure that audits, non-conformances and equipment calibrations are progressed and up to date.Oversee the development, modification, application, and maintenance of standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.Determine present standards and establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.EducationHNC or higher in engineering or related field is required.Auditor trained CQI-IRCA ISO 9001:2015 or similarLevel 5 qualification or above in Quality AssuranceExperienceMinimum of 5 years progressive quality experience.Excellent knowledge of manufacturing quality processes and procedures.Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).Knowledge of quality management and improvement practices and programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, TQM, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO, etc.Knowledge of SAP/ERP is desired.
