Due to ongoing investment in the millions into their site and a variety of exciting upcoming projects, this employee-owned manufacturer in the Merseyside area are looking to bring in a Quality Engineer into their team to support with their continued growth, offering excellent working conditions, a family style environment, and vast training opportunities.

Role Description

  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance to ISO9001
  • Support with New Product Introduction projects, also supporting with production trials.
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and associated teams to ensure compliance, managing any resolving any non-conformances
  • Generate quality and process related documentation - PFMEA's, Control Plans, work instructions etc.
  • Oversee changes in engineering processes from a quality perspective
  • Report on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  • Lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced with core quality tools - FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
  • Experienced operating Polyworks, Faro Arm, and CMM
  • Automotive industry or related experience is very advantageous
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Engineering qualification
