Salary - £27,960 - £39,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

You will Support Quality service delivery through appropriate methods of inspection and evaluation, in a crucial role within AWE providing support to the UKs at sea deterrent.
Working within a shift-based role Successful Candidates will be reporting to the Quality Control Manager responsible for:
Conducting technical assessments and sign off's using appropriate methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and validation of Quality processes.
- Participation in experimental trials, improvement activities and audits.
- Engagement with relevant AWE stakeholders and other functions to enhance inspection techniques for future programs of work.
Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or relevant experience and/or ONC equivalent in a related discipline.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and standards.
- Ability to generate and improve upon inspection instructions & inspection reports.
- Previous experience in a Quality Control role.
- Sound workshop experience in the application of inspection quality tools and techniques, production activities and processes.
- Working in an assembly environment beneficial.
- Inspection practices, use of inspection equipment, setting up of components/assemblies.
- Reporting of product status including non-conformance management.
- Knowledge of tooling, processes, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
