A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join to Aerospace Component Manufacturing Company in the Cheltenham area.

With no day ever being the same the Quality Inspector role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface quality.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of quality initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality inspection in the aerospace sector.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in inspections.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Experience using measurement tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification in quality inspection or related field is desirable.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and certification as required.

Package and Benefits:


  • £28,000 - £30,000
  • 25 days + Banks, 38 hrs (08.00-17.00 Monday - Thursday, 08.00-12.00 Friday)

  • Overtime Paid at 1.5x Rate
