Quality Management Engineer



Location: Towcester(Full time onsite)



Salary: �35k to �40k DOE plus excellent benefits including 25 holidays plus bank holidays, Healthcare, Bonus, Pension, Death benefit and Income protection.



Hours: Job Hours (35 Hour Week):




  • Monday - Thursday: 8am-4pm

  • Friday: 8am- 1pm



The job:



Establishing and maintaining quality systems and supporting the manufacturing department via creating, implementing, actioning resolutions from manufacturing/ customer borne quality issues.





The responsibilities of the job:




  • Establishing, maintaining and auditing our systems based on ISO9001:2015 / ISO 14001:2015 / ISO 45001 requirements, bi-annually.

  • Support Line managers to formulate action plans arising from all internal audit with review to ensure compliance is met.

  • Supporting the Quality Returns department processing and acting as a customer liaison for onsite visits.

  • FAI / PPAP documentation creation when requested.

  • Leading product quality in the production department, which would include containment, investigations, correction, implementation and validation of corrective actions via 8D reporting.

  • Internal Scrap Review analysis with application of reduction methodologies.

  • Conducting quality spot-checks within the production department.

  • To undertake any other training/ education identified by the company for career progression.



Key Skills and Qualifications Required:






  • Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role that adhere to the ISO standards.

  • To have previous proven experience and / or extensive knowledge of operational governance and monitoring standards to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office/365/ Teams/ ERP systems).

  • To have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at senior level.

  • To have a high level of literacy and experience of report writing and action plans.

  • To be self-motivated and driven to expect the highest standards.

  • Proficient in data handling and analysis.

  • Experience in inspection, including FAI.

  • Experience in planning and conducting supplier audits.

  • Experience in problem solving and investigation tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5-Whys, FMEA.

  • Ideally holds IPC620 qualification.
