QUALITY MANAGER AEROSPACE / AVIATION ENGINEERING COMPONENTS
LOCATION: Based in a newly renovated modern spacious production workshop near Meopham/Wrotham, Kent. You may be living/ looking for Quality Manager jobs in Kent, Meopham, Wrotham, Gravesend, Rochester, Dartford, West Malling, Sevenoaks.
You will need a full driving licence.
SALARY: Competitive salary plus company benefits, plenty of onsite parking, annual salary increases, health insurance plan, performance related bonus, long service awards, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
HOURS: 39-hour week. Finish at 12.00midday on Fridays.
As a QUALITY MANAGER, your pivotal role will be to support the strategic direction of the company in the day-to-day running of the quality department.Working closely with Operations and the wider business, you will be responsible for r eviewing, maintaining, updating and releasing quality standards, approving a comprehensive quality management system, ensuring quality procedures and specifications are of the highest standard.
Day-to-day duties of a Quality Manager include:
Update and maintain document management systems.
Monitor monthly KPI reports for each department.
Lead non-conformance investigations and co-ordinate relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with external regulators, surveyors, customers to submit corrective action response.
Effectively manage External Audits for efficient processes in each department.
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards.
Conduct supplier on-site audits and bi-annual off-site evaluation.
Maintain continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide training, mentoring support, guidance and development opportunities.
Update and maintain internal audit schedule and conduct internal audits in accordance with schedule.
Report findings back to top management, conveying any need for improvement.
Review and approve quality documentation including FAIs, NCs, Concessions.
As Quality Manager you will have at least 5 years experience of Workflow and Performance Management / Total Quality Management in the Engineering/ Manufacturing industry, possibly knowledge of the Aerospace/ Aviation industry as well as a good understanding of applicable Quality Standards (e.g.: AS9100D; CAA Part 21 G; CAA Part 145; EASA Part 145 third country approval).
You will be an experienced Quality Manager, with a Lead or Internal Auditor qualification, a solid understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Control Standards, Quality Management Methodologies, Lean and Continuous Improvement Techniques and proficient in Microsoft Office.
You may be an aspiring Quality Manager, able to work with initiative , with excellent interpersonal, analytical & problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
