Role: Quality Manager Location: Newport Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + 10% bonusMonday - Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, and 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on FridayThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join aa market leading engineering company in Newport.The site is fast paced and dynamic, with the successful individual being able to effectively multi-task and work within a hands-on environment. The Quality Manager will manage all aspects of the Quality function, including controlling processes and materials to ensure product compliance, maintaining the site Quality Systems and Customer Support when needed.Key Responsibilities Ensure that the site Quality and Inspection function satisfies the business requirementsTo manage the Quality department to ensure that site objectives are met in a timely manner. Including Inspection, Laboratory and NDT processesEnsure processes documentation complies to internal and external quality systems, including but not limited to NADCAP, AS9100To liaise with Engineering and Production Departments to trouble shoot on a daily basis and work towards eliminating sources of non-conformance using an analytical approachResponsible for Quality KPI's and objectives, to provide plans for measuring Continuous ImprovementReview root causes and effectiveness of corrective actionsCarry out annual personnel appraisals and identify development & training requirements, then develop and implement plans to fulfil those requirements which are aligned with the site strategySupport the Lab and Inspection areasParticipate and Initiate Continuous Improvement Projects Qualifications & Experiences Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and toolsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsKnowledge of quality systems and measurementLean Manufacturing knowledgeKnowledge of AS 9100 & NADCAPAbility to present data effectivelyAnalytical skills
