As a Quantitative Developer , you will work directly on a systematic commodity trading team to help support the entire quantitative trading process. You will have the opportunity to solve challenging problems in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and passionate about exploring new ideas and improving current processes. What you will do in this role Build and maintain infrastructure to test and run trading strategies Building scalable and performant software using software engineering best practices Analysing requirements from traders and analysts for algorithmic trading Facilitating discussions on code implementation, testing, software architecture best practices Driving projects and leading new initiatives Actively engaging with others on the research and development team to resolve challenging design and coding issues What you will need in this role Minimum of 2+ years experience in a quantitative software engineer role A Bachelor s or a Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent Strong programming skills in Python Experience needed in a strongly-typed language like C++, Java, or Rust Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices Energetic and goal oriented Creative and independent thinker Experience with any of these technologies is an asset: Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, Docker, WebSocket, TCP, HTTP Experience with relational databases is an asset (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle) Interest in financial markets and trading, with prior work experience in this field is a plus Strong attention to detail Familiarity with commodities is a plus For more information about DRW's processing activities and our use of job applicants' data, please view our Privacy Notice at .
