Quantity Surveyor – JCT Design and Build

We are currently partnered with a Cladding and Fa�ade contractor who have a healthy turnover of �32M. They work in both new build (70%) and reclad projects (30%) covering a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, residential and commercial construction.

They are a family run company, who employ a lovely group of people with a very low turnover of staff and strong team ethos which permeates the whole company. You wont find any blame culture here, they all work together, expecting mistakes to happen, however they rely on their open approach for the team to spot this and work on the solution together.

They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor as they have two new projects starting in April and they need to bolster their commercial team due to a busy order book for the next 18 months.

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor who has a sound knowledge on JCT Design and Build Contracts as the vast majority of work they do is JCT D&B. They are not contractually aggressive or especially litigious, however due to the demands on cladding projects, especially with design it is vitally important you can follow this contract with the correct notices, ensuring contractual compliance so if the need arises for an Extension of time, you have covered the risk.

Our clientis ideally looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has a mixture of Main and Subcontracting experience and is happy to consider alternative trades, especially if you have good knowledge of JCT Design and Build. Cladding or facades is advantageous but certainly not a prerequisite.
