We are actively looking for great talents for the above-mentioned positions in construction for a fast-growing main contractor.The positions are office-based, the office is in East London. Some benefits for the position of Quantity Surveyor and Estimator are package allowance and pension scheme.Quantity Surveyor:· To assist the Contract Manager with pre-start planning and programming· Sub-contract procurement and commercial management· Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts· Assisting and liaising with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities· Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout· Assist the Contract Manager with subcontractor selection and ensure the chosen subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works. Place the appropriate order and all required information to carry out their work· Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner in accordance with the contracts· Completing a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the designated projects· Attend project and company related meetings· Manage the costs on a project to ensure both the company and the client is fully advised of the cost situation· Ensure timely cash flow management for the Client and the group, and the supply change· Assisting the development and training of trainee and assistant surveyorsThe Quantity Surveyor reports directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity SurveyorSalary starts from £70,000/year.Estimator:As main purpose of the role you will be involved in:Tenders, Budgets/Cost Plans, Tender Reviews, Handovers, Pre/Post-tender meetings, Checks.You will be reporting directly to the business manager.Salary starts from £70,000/year.Bid Writer:The main duties and responsibilities can be summarised as follows:Attending and presentation information at a monthly review meetingManage the bid writing process and ensure deadlines are hitWriting Bids to suit the given projectWriting case studies as the business requiresWriting SQ’s as the business requiresWriting presentations as the business requiresAssisting with general literature required by the business for events, accreditations, company website and social media sites, company brochure, etcAssisting and working with the team to develop the business Marketing strategy and illustrationsAny other reasonable management requestYou will be reporting directly to the Business Manager.Salary starts from £40,000/year.QualificationsRelevant skills, education, and experience are a must for the roles you are applying for.Please apply with your CV, alternatively please get in contact with us directly so that we can assist you further on the next steps.
