The Company



My client is a market leader in Passive Fire Protection Services. With over 30 years’ experience, they pride themselves on providing a first-class service from initial consultation to completion of a contract, whilst ensuring that the most cost-effective work ethos and professional working relationship is maintained for their clients. They are members of some of the leading UK construction company supply chains, including Galliford Try, Balfour Beatty, Kier, Sisk, McLaren, Wates and Morgan Sindall. As these relationships continue, they are now receiving ever increasing repeat contracts spread across all corners of the UK.

Due to a period of growth, they’re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to help spearhead projects and perform Estimator responsibilities at their office in Buckinghamshire. Projects they cover typically range from £300k - £2Million.



The Role
Specialising in high-quality fire protection services, they are looking for a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their dynamic team. With projects spanning from tender stage through to handover, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Fire Protection or Joinery to make a significant impact on their growing business.
 Qualifications




  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Relevant certifications or experience in Passive Fire Protection would be an advantage.



Duties




  • Handle end-to-end management of multiple projects, from the tender stage to successful handover.

  • Prepare accurate estimates and cost plans in line with project specifications.

  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to ensure budgets and targets are met.

  • Manage tender submissions, including pricing and commercial documentation.

  • Utilize pre-set schedules of rates on Excel to create accurate and competitive tenders.

  • Perform regular cost control, reporting, and project evaluations.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate and agree on costs.

  • Provide ongoing support to the project management teams, ensuring that projects stay within budget and meet deadlines.





Permanent Position offering a competitive salary plus package to the successful candidate (£65,000 - £70,000 + Package)
