ROLE: Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

LOCATION: Newport, South Wales  

SALARY: £50,000 - £55,000

Job Summary for a Quantity Surveyor 

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team! If you're skilled in cost estimatiom, budget management, and contract administration - especially in refurbishment, repairs, and fit-out projects - this role could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor 

- Preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects.

- Managing budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

- Handling contract negotiations, variations, and cost reporting.

- Identifying and supporting new business & tender opportunities.

- Lisaing with subcontractors & suppliers to ensure value for money

- Conducting site visits and ensuring compliance with quality & safety standards
Requirements of a Quantity Surveyor 

- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Construction (refurb & fit-out preferred)

- Strong commercial & financial manegement skills

- Ability to travel to project sites across Wales & England

- Proficiency in surveying software & MIcrosoft Office

- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (RICS Membership is a plus!)
