Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator. As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be an integral part of the project delivery process.

They are now looking to expand their team by recruiting a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator based in their southern Lincolnshire office, working on projects valued between £50,000 - £1m. The role focusses on successfully taking the lead in helping with costing of potential works on exciting new projects.

Duties:


  • Provide costing services on shop fitting, interior fit out, and refurbishment projects for commercial and retail clients
  • Working as part of the pre-construction team to produce estimates for tenders
  • Occasionally visiting sites to inspect the level of remediation and/or works needed to complete the project
  • Ensuring all costings are to industry standard and follow safety guidelines and legislation
  • Assessing drawings and visiting site to provide accurate needs and valuations of projects, including costing for labour and materials
  • Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts

About You:


  • Experience in retail or office fit-outs
  • Experience in preparing contracts, CVR's, cash flow forecasts and final accounts
  • Experience in monitoring and control of costs against budget
  • Knowledge of relevant building and construction regulations and standards
  • Strong numerical and IT skills
  • Financially astute
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent supply chain relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of the industry, suppliers, subcontractors and legislation
  • The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts

The Package:


  • Office Based Role, Monday to Friday
  • Salary up to £60,000 dependent on experience
