Quantity Surveyor



Salary: �35,000 - �50,000 plus package�



Location: Oxfordshire and Southeast





4Site Recruitment have partneredwith a specialist building company, consisting of a construction division and a maintenance and renovations division. As�a multi-disciplinary main contractor with experience in various sectors of the construction industry. Their diverse experience has distinguished them�in managing all types of projects, including those with logistical and architecturally sensitive challenges such as listed buildings and inner-city locations.



Our Client are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. You will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.

  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.

  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.

  • Perform analysis of project costs.

  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.

  • Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports.

  • Value completed work and arrange payments.

  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.

  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.



Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to work.

  • Knowledge of building regulations and health and safety guidelines.
