Quantity Surveyor- Newcastle upon Tyne�

We are partnered with a leading housing contractor urgently looking for an experienced & dedicated Quantity Surveyor in the North East. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be managing all costs related to the projects from initial estimates to final accounts, ensuring the best value for money while maintaining the highest quality standards.�



Key Responsibilities & Requirements:�





  • Formulate a comprehensive project budget based on project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.��







  • Oversee cost planning and management for projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.��







  • Provide accurate and informed reporting on the project's cost performance.��







  • Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.�







  • Review and analyze contracts and identify key terms, conditions and obligations related to cost management.�







  • Collaborate with project teams and engineers to process and specify cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.�







  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.�







  • Provide regular cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders/senior management with insights into cost performance.��







  • Carry out effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential issues and present reliable solutions.��







  • Join in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies.��







  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.��







  • Proven accomplishments as Quantity Surveyor within construction.�







  • Proven account management and commercial experience.�







  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.��







  • Demonstrates exceptional presentation, verbal/written communication skills.��







  • Proficiency of Quantity Surveying software & codes.��
