Our client a leading regional main contractor based in Hertfordshire are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their organisation.

Role Overview:



As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage procurement processes, including obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.

  • Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.

  • Manage project variations and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

  • Collaborate with contract managers and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
