Resourcing Group is working in partnership with a maintenance contractor, offering a great opportunity for someone to join their small but organically grown team. They specialise in providing exceptional repairs and responsive maintenance services for to their end clients which mostly consist of public sector landlords, including Housing Associations. They are well known with in their local area and niche sector and as such, would like the right person to join their business, with similar values.


This role will suit someone already familiar with the social housing maintenance sector. A knowledge and familiarity of the national housing schedule of rates is essential.
The great and refreshing element to this role is that the contractor can consider a Commercial Administrator or Assistant QS looking for their next step in to a stand alone QS role, or, equally, they can consider an experienced QS. The salary will reflect and be dependant on experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor with our company, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting cost analysis and preparing estimates for maintenance projects within the Hard Facilities Management sector.
  • Managing and negotiating contracts, ensuring that they comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Tracking project expenses, monitoring budgets, and providing regular financial reports.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing cost control measures.
  • Evaluating and valuing variations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Assessing subcontractor payments and claims.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation throughout the project life cycle.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on Hard Facilities Management Maintenance contracts.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying.
  • An organised and proactive approach to work, meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • A valid driving licence.
