Quantity Surveyor

Reed is delighted to be working with a Building Services Contractor seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

As the Quantity Surveyor you will complete commercial administration of contracts, including cost modelling, invoicing, cost reconciliation, and supply chain procurement & management.

Day to Day of the role:

Procurement and management of subcontractors, ensuring all works are measured accurately using Schedule of Rates and basket rates for planned work.

Composition and production of timely and accurate applications, invoices, and final accounts.

Commercial negotiation with clients to agree on the value of completed works.

Management of commercial reporting for assigned contracts, including CVR reviews and monthly reporting

Ensure accurate job costing, including timesheets, purchase invoices, and subcontractor costs.

Liaise with internal and external clients, preparing and presenting all required reports and documentation.

Actively manage margins within business targets and expectations.

Participate in monthly Regional Review Meetings and ensure consistent provision of timely and accurate contract documentation.

Develop and manage contract cost models and apply effective cost control procedures.

Ensure optimal administration of Sub-contracts, manage final accounts in a timely manner, and support the Operational lead and Commercial Manager with detailed information and updates.

Deliver reporting and commercial analysis relevant to an Open Book/Target Cost Model.

Cost and price

Manage cash forecasting for assigned contracts.

For this role the client is seeing a proven Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a similar sector. You will likely have a Construction related degree and live a commutable distance from their office.
