Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 - Immediate Start

I am assisting my client in the search for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team in the Southeast. As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial team across a variety of projects which will include: Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure and Public and Private Sector.

The Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality, exceeding customer expectations.
• Work closely with the project team and senior commercial staff to ensure budgeted targets are met.
• Establish strong working relationships with supply chain, consultants, and customers.
• Assist in accurately valuing, certifying and issuing payment notices for supply chain partners in accordance with contract arrangement.
• Ensure external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.
• Complete cost value comparison reports that accurately reflect the current position on site and the final projection.
• Identify any potential disputes in a timely manner and enable introduction of effective solutions.

To be considered:

• HNC / HND in Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven experience as the QS with a main contractor.
• Negotiating and networking skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Good team working skills.
