Quantity Surveyor

Nova Talent are working with a leading Lincoln-based Property Developer that delivers high quality residential and commercial projects across Lincolnshire.  We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team based at Head Office.

The successful candidate will take ownership for the development, negotiations and implementation of all pre and post contract strategy for their assigned projects, working within the wider Commercial Team.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Complete and submit pre-qualification questionnaires.


• Lead on procurement, issuing requests for both sub-contract and supplier quotations, assess upon receiving.


• Prepare, review and submit tender documentation.


• Follow up on Tenders submitted.


• Pre and post tender negotiations.


• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers and design teams, ensuring key relationships built and maintained.

What we are looking for:

• Ideally experience within both commercial and residential sectors.


• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.


• Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team, managing numerous activities and projects simultaneously – both short and long term.


• Able to utilise own initiative with minimal supervision.


• Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry


• Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement. SMM7 and CESMM3


• Clean Driving licence


• Solid IT skills - particularly Word and Excel
