This role, under the direction of the Operations Director, offers a diverse range of responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.
Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of costs, quotes, and tenders. Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities will include reviewing and managing quotes, involvement in Bills of Quantities (BOQs), project and tender pricing, conversion of quotes for clients, and overseeing internal Schedule of Rates (SOR) processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management:
Review and manage quotes to ensure value for money for clients.
Work closely with the Operations Director to ensure cost efficiency.
Bills of Quantities (BOQs):
Participate in the preparation and review of BOQs for projects.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in BOQ documentation.
Project and Tender Pricing:
Provide accurate and competitive pricing for projects and tenders.
Collaborate with project teams to align pricing with project requirements.
Quote Conversion and Feedback:
Convert quotes into successful contracts for clients.
Collate feedback on unsuccessful bids to inform future improvements.
Schedule of Rates (SOR) Management:
Review and manage the internal SOR list and processes.
Ensure the SOR is up to date and aligns with any increased costs.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cost management, project pricing, and BOQ processes.
Methodical thinker with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
