Quantity Surveyor

Role Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team. You will be responsible for the full commercial management of multiple housing projects, guiding them from conception to completion. As a key player within the commercial department, you will manage all subcontractor relationships to ensure the cost-effective delivery of our client business plan, maximizing profit and value. You will also serve as the primary communication link between head office and all suppliers, subcontractors, merchants, and site staff.

Key Accountabilities:

Identify and assess trade and contractor requirements to ensure successful project completions.

Effectively manage and select contractors and subcontractors to align with the business plan.

Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality management information to meet business requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking an individual who embodies the following:

  • Industry Knowledge and Experience:
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in the house-building industry.
    • Proven Quantity Surveying experience within a house builder environment.
    • Experience in managing multi-site and multi-product developments.
    • Strong project management background.
    • Expertise in commercial viability, budgets, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR's), and supply chain management.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication and IT skills.
    • High ability to gather, analyse, and interpret commercial data.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Experience in leading, managing, and developing teams and individuals.
    • Professional and confidential approach at all times.
  • External Engagement:
    • Experience in working with external bodies, processes, and consultations.
    • Proficiency in resourcing appropriate specialist consultants and suppliers.
    • Experience in dealing with and consulting with Local Authorities and other formal bodies.

Salary - �45,000 - �50,000 depending on experience
