About the Role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely claims for payment, managing our supply chain, and working closely with our Operations team and clients to maintain sustainable contracts across the Eastern region network.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Operations team and clients to raise accurate, timely claims for payment.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the supply chain to ensure contract sustainability.
Ensure timely applications for payment and provide evidence for client audits.
Manage the performance and workload of commercial support staff.
Collaborate with the Operations team to improve margin and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Candidate Profile:
Accredited Quantity Surveying course by RICS, CIOB, CICES, or equivalent.
4+ years of industry experience.
Good understanding of the NEC Suite of Contract Documents.
Ideally experienced with NEC Term Service Contract and Maintenance and Response contracts.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel; experience with Confirm Asset Management systems, CEMAR contract management software, Papyrus, and SAP cost management systems is advantageous.
Knowledge of the Highways maintenance sector, NEC forms of contract, and The Method of Measurement for Highway works is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Team player with experience in achieving team objectives.
Methodical, logical, and detailed approach to work.
Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
