We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of our infrastructure projects. This is a crucial position focused on estimating and pricing of works, managing variations, and ensuring cost coverage to protect the financial integrity of our projects.

This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with both the operational and strategic sides of project management, ensuring adherence to contract terms while safeguarding the commercial interests of our infrastructure project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing the commercial resources of assigned projects by managing contracts and ensuring timely submission of claims.
Valuing completed work, preparing and submitting quotations, payment applications, and final accounts.
Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks in line with company risk management policies.
Providing expertise in contract management, including valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and workstream performance data.
Supporting the submission of project variations/Compensation Events (CEs) and ensuring accurate, timely assessments and pricing.
Compiling monthly KPI measurements and reporting on project progress.
Ensuring accurate and timely submission of variations/CEs and monitoring responses.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to ensure delivery aligned with contract terms.
Problem-solving and developing creative solutions to contractual challenges.
Essential Knowledge, skills and experience
4+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying
Experience with CEMAR (Contracts Event Management and Reporting) system.
Experience in commercial management and procurement, including risk reduction meetings, measurement/control cycles, and financial reporting.
Proficient in using spreadsheets for financial data analysis.
Familiarity with NEC forms of Contract.
Strong communication, numerical, and computer literacy skills.
Experience with CEMAR (Contracts Event Management and Reporting) system.
