As a Quantity Surveyor on this major highways infrastructure project, you will be a key part of the team managing the financial aspects of the project, focusing on complex civil structures such as bridges, resurfacing, and pavements. The project involves a range of term maintenance activities, and you will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the project is delivered within scope and budget. Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor* Oversee cost management, including budget estimation, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Monitor project expenditure and assess variations to ensure the project delivers value for money.
* Liaise with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to manage financial and contractual obligations.
* Lead procurement strategies and contract negotiations across different project phases.
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and manage any contractual claims or disputes.
* Oversee payments, final accounts, and risk assessments to maintain control over project finances.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Proven experience in highways infrastructure, with a focus on structures, bridges, and resurfacing.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts or similar contract forms.
* Strong financial reporting, cost management, and risk mitigation skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly with stakeholders and contractors.
