Quantity Surveyor required to work for reputable sized social housing refurbishment contractor based in Wanstead. Long term work and clear career progression within a positive working environment. Example responsibilities below.
Cost Estimation & Budget Control – Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and ensure projects remain within financial limits.
Tendering & Procurement – Prepare tender documents, assess bids, and manage procurement to secure value for money.
Contract Administration – Oversee contract compliance, manage variations, and handle claims.
Valuations & Payments – Prepare interim valuations, monitor site progress, and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Cost Control & Reporting – Track project costs, provide financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Risk Management – Assess financial risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison – Maintain communication with clients, tenants, and stakeholders on financial matters.
Change Management – Evaluate cost implications of changes, manage approvals, and update budgets accordingly.
Compliance & Quality Assurance – Ensure adherence to building regulations and housing standards.
Final Accounts & Close-Out – Settle final accounts, resolve disputes, and complete financial documentation.
Tenant Communication – Manage tenant concerns regarding refurbishment works and financial impacts.
