Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in NEC3 and NEC4 Contracts looking for a new opportunity? Our longstanding oil and gas client, with assets across the UK, is now hiring a Quantity Surveyor on a full-time or part-time basis at their Cornwall site.

Location: Cornwall
Salary: �55,000
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full OR Part Time - Mon - Fri Days - (Full Time 36.25 hours per week) Hybrid working
The Role:
You will play a key role in ensuring that all tender submissions and quotes are fair, realistic, and aligned with both project specifications and budget constraints. You will oversee the completion of works to guarantee they meet agreed timelines, standards, and costs, providing value for money. Success in this role will require you to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your excellent communication and influencing skills to address and resolve project challenges effectively.

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and legal safety standards, and provide management with relevant reports and updates.
  • Support the Procurement Team to ensure fair billing for completed engineering works, assuring transparency and value for the Client.
  • To manage all costs relating to projects to ensure validity and value for money.
  • Monitor delivery of the service to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts.
  • Support in preparing supporting documentation for projects including ITT, T&Cs, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure tenders are issued in accordance with procurement policy and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Procurement function to ensure that contracts are put in place that are the most suitable to ensure delivery of the requirement in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee contractor services, ensure contract compliance, and manage rate schedules.
  • Prepare in-house estimates, derive cost, valuate variation orders, and analyse financial bids.
  • Consistently maintain a professional approach in day-to-day activities and high standards of probity and confidentiality.


Experience Required:

  • Degree level qualification in subject areas such as, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Expereince with NEC3 & NEC4 Form of Contracts including Options A & C.
  • Experience of producing and working with Risk Registers.
  • Full driving licence is essential for this role
