We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable M&E contractor based in Edinburgh. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects within a variety of sectors, including commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. They operate as both a specialist subcontractor and a principal contractor depending on the scale of the job. Projects can range in value from £200,000 to £6m.
We’re looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a mechanical or electrical bias, but applications from Quantity Surveyors from a main contracting background are also very welcome!
As a QS, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
- Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Engaging with clients including attendance at project and client meetings.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
- Have experience in M&E Quantity Surveying, either from an M&E subcontractor or a main contractor.
- Have demonstrable experience overseeing projects from inception to completion.
