This is a role that is 100% Northern Ireland based, with occasional travel to other CFM/ client sites. Your new opportunity: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all commercial aspects of individual projects. Including preparation and submission of tenders, payment applications and final accounts ensuring commercial and contractual targets are being achieved. They will liaise with the client representatives and other parties on commercial issues including agreement of payment dates, payment applications, claims and any additional payments. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Management of respective projects from pre-tender to client hand over. Ensure effective interaction between QS and the Project Manager also mentor trainee QS Agreeing specification and budget for all new projects monitoring throughout to ensure company goals are achieved. Responsible for sub-contracting letting, negotiation and financial accounting. Issuing of Early Warnings along with valuing and submitting Compensation Events in line with NEC 3 requirements Update all monthly WIP/CVR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance of the department. Working within a fast-paced environment ensuring deadlines are met. Oversee all payment applications and agreeing final accounts, ensuring measurement and submission of works to client is accurately measured in a timely manner. Ensure Cost control of all works in line with budgets while ensuring works are being delivered effectively and within contractual SLAs. Ensure accurate records of works are being recorded and maintained Recording and issuing Early Warnings and Compensation Events Attend Client meetings representing CFM in best possible light, building strong client and supply chain relationships by working in a collaborative manner ensuring repeat business. Our Requirements: Essential 2-3 years experience in a similar role BSC (Hons), HND, BTEC in Construction related field Knowledge and understanding of sub-contractor management Commercially and Operationally aware on delivery of works Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines Enthusiastic and result driven IT literate Microsoft Office Package Excellent attention to detail Preferred Experience of Public Sector contracts Knowledge of NEC 3 contracts Microsoft Project Competencies Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and adaptability Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets Excellent team working skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships Strong planning and organisation skills Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a cross functional team Skills: Quantity Surveying NEC Contracts Tender Preparation
