Starting Basic Salary: Up to £55k

Hours: Monday-Friday 45 Hours Per Week

Our client is looking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They are seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to support our continued growth as a company and also to bolster the experience and knowledge within their existing commercial team. They are looking for a candidate that is able to estimate and put together project bids together with the financial management of on-going projects from commencement to completion. Project values vary from £5,000 - £1m.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor: 

• You will be comfortable attending site and Teams meetings with clients
• Undertaking site surveys and valuations
• Completing take-offs from drawings
• Producing interim and final account applications for payment
• Producing and reporting on monthly CVR's
• Handing over contracts to our delivery teams on the make-up of tenders to enable them to manage and enhance the commercial and operational elements of a project

About our ideal candidate:

• You have excellent commercial acumen
• You have a proven track record in commercial or quantity surveying - 5+ years' experience minimum
• You have the ability to quickly and correctly understand scopes of work and project requirements
• You are proactive and have excellent time management skills
• You are comfortable working alone or as part of a team as required
• You remain calm and calculated under pressure
• You are an excellent communicator
• Excellent practical knowledge of common IT packages, mainly Excel, MS Word, and use of email
• Full and clean driving licence
• Experience in Railway sector preferred
