Salary: £45k - £55k per annum + package

Working Hours: 08.00am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Our client, a prominent civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure specialist operating throughout East Anglia and the Southeast of England, is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Responsibilities:

• Managing costs for civils and groundworks projects
• Preparing estimates and budgets
• Conducting cost analysis and value engineering
• Managing subcontractor agreements and payments
• Measuring and valuing work done on-site
• Ensuring accurate cost reporting and tracking
• Handling variations and change orders effectively
• Maintaining compliance with contractual terms

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils/groundworks
• Degree qualified
• Strong understanding of civil engineering projects
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in industry-standard surveying software
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
