The Role:
 
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will support the day-to-day running of new build & refurbishment projects ranging in value from £2m to £20m. You will play a crucial role in ensuring best commercial practices are followed and maximising the profitability of each job. This role offers a good balance of office-based work and on-site presence.
Surrey (2 days at Head Office), West & Central (3 days on Projects)
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Collating information for quarterly reporting (Cost Value Reconciliations - CVRs).
• Full procurement of work packages in line with drawings and specifications.
• Managing and pricing variations.
• Keeping accurate records of on-site activities.
• Overseeing effective commercial management of on-site activities and the change management process.
• Supporting supply chain partners with assessments and payments.
• Preparing subcontractor appointment and proposal documents.
• Producing subcontractor instruction/variation reports.
• Preparing final accounts with subcontractors.
• Assisting the project team with financial implications of site progress decisions.

 
What We Are Looking For:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to step up, or a Project Quantity Surveyor with 1-2 years of site-based experience (5 years total preferred).
• Good knowledge of construction and experience in commercial main contracting, ideally with a background in fast-track commercial D&B projects.
• Experience working with JCT Design and Build Contracts.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, procurement, and commercial aspects of main contracting.
• Excellent problem-solving and numeracy skills.
• Ability to process complex information and assess requirements readily.
