Quantity Surveyor - Hertfordshire Salary up to �65,000 + Package We are working exclusively with a luxury residential construction company based in Hertfordshire, looking to hire their first in-house Quantity Surveyor. This is a career-defining opportunity to step into a newly created role, offering the autonomy to build the commercial function from the ground up. With a target to quadruple revenue in the next eight years, this business is on an exciting growth trajectory. They need a driven, ambitious QS who can take ownership of the commercial, cost, and contract management of high-end residential projects. The Company Specialising in bespoke new builds and high-end residential developments, this company is known for exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design. Their commitment to quality has led to rapid expansion, making now the perfect time to join. The Role As the sole Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, procurement, contract administration, and commercial strategy. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Quantity Surveryor you will be in charge of cost planning and budget control for high-end residential projects.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will create subcontract packages and negotiating supplier contracts.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will deal with material write-offs, obtain quotes, and track procurement costs.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will produce proposals for clients, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage project finances and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will be ambitious and proactive.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will have experience in the construction industry, ideally within high-end residential projects and/or commercial projects.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will have strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor you will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is beneficial but not essential
