Freelance Quantity Surveyor- Water Infrastructure Project

Rate: �450 per day inside IR35- Happy to discuss rate

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of a major water infrastructure project. You will ensure cost control, monitor contract compliance, and support the successful delivery of this essential civils scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for the project.
• Administer NEC3/4 contracts, including managing compensation events, variations, and early warnings.
• Oversee subcontractor management, including valuations, applications, and final accounts.
• Prepare accurate monthly reports and cost/value reconciliations.
• Provide contractual advice to the project team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Work closely with the client, project team, and stakeholders to maintain excellent communication and relationships.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor working with tier 1 contractors.
• Sector Knowledge: Civils experience is essential; prior exposure to water infrastructure projects is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Contract Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience with NEC3/4 forms of contract.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Location: Ability to work on-site in Exeter as required.
