Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity with a leading specialist steel structures contractor? Our client, a well-established and reputable company based near Glasgow, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in delivering high-quality steel structure projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial management of steel structure projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Your duties will include:

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Managing contracts, variations, and valuations
• Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies
• Identifying and managing risks while maximising commercial opportunities
• Preparing and presenting financial reports

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or steel structures industry
• Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and cost control
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Proficiency in relevant software and estimating tools
• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
