The Company



We are currently collaborating with a family run main contractor that specialises in providing refurbishment and planned maintenance across the Housing, Education, Commercial, Heritage and Health Care sectors across London and the Southeast.



Established over 20 years ago, the company now turns over in excess of £30 million and have built a strong foundation of repeat business.



They offer in house solutions in planned maintenance from their construction division to their roofing division.



The Role: Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Refurbishment



The business is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager for a Planned Maintenance contract in West London consisting of external works (Roofing, Windows, Doors, EWIs etc.)



This is a great role for an established Quantity Surveyor or a strong Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up to take on more responsibility.



The business are advocates for internal progression and there are clear routes to Senior / Managing QS level roles in the future. 



Duties to include but are not limited to:




  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for the project.

  • Help with sourcing and procuring subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.

  • Support in preparing and evaluating tender documents and contract negotiations.

  • Conduct site measurements and prepare valuations for interim payments.

  • Monitor project costs, track variations, and assist with cost reporting.

  • Assist in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

  • Identify, assess, and document variations or changes to the project scope.

  • Support in assessing subcontractor applications and payments.

  • Assist in preparing payment applications, invoices, and financial records.

  • Help identify potential cost risks and opportunities for cost savings.

  • Assist in liaising with clients, project teams, and external parties.

  • Support in preparing final accounts and project completion documentation.
