Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work for a professional and forward-thinking contractor?
Contract Scotland are working with a Glasgow based design and build contractor to source a Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team. They specialise in providing a fully comprehensive construction experience and place great importance on providing quality service and maintaining a positive reputation within the industry.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be an ambitious, driven and strategic individual, taking responsibility for managing and steering costs and building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure project success and satisfaction. You will get the opportunity to work on a range of complex refurbishment, fit-out and new-build projects across a range of sectors including education, commercial, industrial, leisure, and more.
You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
- Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
- Have demonstrable commercial experience within a main contracting environment.
