R&D Engineer

A specialist electro mechanical manufacturing company located in Southampton are currently recruiting for an R&D Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working within a complex multi-faceted Engineering Division the R&D Engineer will work on research and development projects to both design and develop new products, and to technically support the existing product range.

Other responsibilities include:

• Playing a key role in the development of new products


• Design / Development of critical components / systems as part of a new product range


• Working closely with other departments to ensure development projects are delivered


• Liaising directly with customers on prototype products where boundaries can be pushed to maximise technology / efficiency and performance.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience in an R&D Engineer and be able to demonstrate experience / knowledge of HVAC / Air movement and critically refrigeration technology. You will also have proven ability using an Mechanical �CAD package such as SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD etc. It would be advantageous to be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
