Are you interested in specialising in R&D tax work?
I am looking at a tax consultant position with multinational company in the business's incentives & reliefs team, where you will work on research and development tax claims on behalf of the firm's clients.
The ideal candidate will either have experience in either a tax advisor role, or potentially a Masters / PhD graduate from a scientific field and an interest in developing a career in R&D tax.
This role will be based in Sheffield with flexible working (3 days office, 2 days home).
Main duties:

  • Managing a wide and varied UK based client and accountancy practice portfolio.
  • Actively developing new relationships with UK-wide accountancy firms and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Identifying relevant clients from accountants who may benefit from our services.
  • Presenting to accountants, clients and other suitable audiences.
  • Attending client meetings and documenting the R&D undertaken in the relevant financial period.
  • Documenting and analysing client R&D expenditure.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations whilst advising clients on the most tax efficient way to utilise the tax reliefs being claimed.
  • Providing HMRC with detailed technical and financial reports of client activity and dealing with any follow up communication as required.
  • Overseeing and developing junior members of staff.

Salary: �30,000 - �31,000 + bonus up to �4,000 + Excellent Benefits (Pension up to 12% employer contribution, private medical insurance, 25 days annual leave, additional benefits)
